{"id":1698,"date":"2016-10-12T21:57:44","date_gmt":"2016-10-12T12:57:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thankyouforthehorse.com\/?p=1698"},"modified":"2016-10-12T21:57:44","modified_gmt":"2016-10-12T12:57:44","slug":"blue-revolver-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thankyouforthehorse.net\/?p=1698","title":{"rendered":"Blue Revolver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JhLg-K7lJt4\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been meaning to get this post online for a week or so, but now it&#8217;s especially timely &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/app\/439490\" target=\"_blank\">Cave\/Raizing-inspired shmup <em>Blue Revolver <\/em>was released today (JST) on Steam<\/a>, and is essential if you&#8217;ve even the slightest interest in the genre.<\/p>\n<p>What should be of interest to all Horsers is the soundtrack, composed by Qygen and featuring remixes from the likes of Hyphen, Exemia and Blue Phoenix. <em>In Praise of Shadows <\/em>aside, Qygen&#8217;s work here is far and away the best freeform I&#8217;ve heard this year, and it&#8217;s really exciting to consider how many people could be exposed to his sound if this release does as well as it deserves to.<\/p>\n<p>The top of this post is a recent episode of STG Weekly, featuring\u00a0<em>Blue Revolver<\/em> and its developers.
