{"id":1934,"date":"2017-02-23T19:52:02","date_gmt":"2017-02-23T10:52:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thankyouforthehorse.com\/?p=1934"},"modified":"2017-02-23T20:03:29","modified_gmt":"2017-02-23T11:03:29","slug":"betwixt-between-nrgetic-romancer-promo-cd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thankyouforthehorse.net\/?p=1934","title":{"rendered":"Betwixt &#038; Between &#8211; NRGetic Romancer Promo CD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EL_tn7CCS5M\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Here then is the first of what&#8217;ll be a few Romancer-related uploads to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCcgvrBRsqW9Shgph6W39Y6Q\" target=\"_blank\">TYFTH&#8217;s YouTube channel<\/a> &#8211; a set from Betwixt &amp; Between that&#8217;s probably a new listen for anyone who wasn&#8217;t a regular at NRGetic Romancer back in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>This set was mixed for Romancer and handed out as a CD promo, around the time that promotional mixes were becoming a common sight at the event. The mixing is a bit haphazard in places, but production-wise it really shows Betwixt at his best, a period when a lot of his oldies still got play alongside newer tracks like <em>Wide Awake <\/em>and <em>Surendrajit<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I hope everyone enjoys it and will be looking forward to more &#8211; there might eventually be a downloadable home for the sets but they will be collected here for the time being.<\/p>\n<p><strong>edit: <\/strong>Almost forgot to mention, but in the original recording the transition from <em>Genshi Kurage <\/em>to <em>Zusammengehorigkeit <\/em>suddenly (and I assume accidentally) cuts off, with silence for a few seconds before a second version of the transition cuts back in and continues the set. It&#8217;s not a pleasant listen, so I&#8217;ve cleaned up that 20 second section to allow <em>Zusammengehorigkeit <\/em>to play without interruption.
