Remember the new Betwixt & Between track (with the ‘something-like-a-flute lead melody’) that I first mentioned a couple of months ago? Well, after a bit of rummaging around I’ve discovered that it has been released, after all. My dark and shameful past of Super Famicom RPG addiction didn’t serve me too well here, as I had no idea that the track is actually a remix of a piece of BGM from the Romancing Saga<\/a> <\/em>series.<\/p>\n

Reminiscent of last year’s Zodiac Brave<\/a> release, Power Raise<\/em> consists of 14 tracks by Betwixt, RED ALiCE, Alabaster….you get the idea. The difference this time is that Betwixt’s track (titled Kamsheen<\/em>) definitely stands up as a freeform tune in its own right (interesting as Lost Symphonies<\/em> is, I found it hard to imagine it in the middle of a set), and it definitely went down well at December’s NRGetic Romancer.<\/p>\n

Although I don’t have a huge amount of interest in the other tunes, this one has easily galloped to the top of my to-buy-when-back-in-Tokyo list. Oh, a worthy mention to KEI<\/a> for the cover artwork, very nice indeed.<\/p>\n
