The trouble with living in the home of anime is that there&#8217;s so much utterly awful stuff that it becomes impossible to spot the gems, and so this series has completely passed me by. After some <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fate\/stay_night\">background reading<\/a>, I discovered the excellent original version of <em>PDBW <\/em>(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cUs8FEsDUZ4\"><em>Emiya<\/em><\/a>) was remixed for the anime by none other than the master himself, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xig98aL6M3c\">Kenji Kawai<\/a> (<em>Ghost in the Shell, Avalon, The Sky Crawlers<\/em> etc).<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, EXCALIpUR&#8217;s why we started all this, and <em>PDBW<\/em> is a fantastic take on the track, if a little gentle for real freeform.
