Always first with the breaking news – here’s a two-year-old video from one of Alek Szahala’s sets. It’s one of the best Alek videos you’ll find, and that was partly the reason for the delay in upping it…you can hear the whole of Astraia here, and I was a bit worried some morally lacking DJs might try ripping the audio to play live (!). Paranoid maybe, but sadly I’ve heard more than one or two low-quality previews of FINRG tracks being played by Japanese DJs in Tokyo, and the less that happens the better…
Anyway, listen out for the last minute and a half or so after Astraia, there’s another really nice trancy track that I don’t know at all…fabulous breakdown, I guess it’s been played in a few Finnish sets since then? If that’s not enough, have even more fun by playing ‘spot the FINRG artist’ among the groups of people chilling in the field.
Haha π Me and my friend drove over 250kilometres from tampere to helsinki and back just to see Alek Szahala on there.
And our vechile was light motorcycle =DD
The name of the last track Alek played would be interesting!
Tune! =D
You made me chuckle with your first sentence.
I absolutely loved the crowd, too! So much energy!
Ohgod, that track sounds so awesome – and emotional melody again π I pretty much believe it’s still unnamed (or very recently named), since in the tracklist of his KonemetsΓ€ set there were two unnamed tracks – other one obviously Astraia.
DJs playing low-quality -previews- sounds a quite extreme, I only know that someones have used rips from livesets..
And lol, think I spotted at least Ville, Teemu and Janne π

Now that’s commitment π Must have been a tough trip back home though…
Nightforce/Jiipez
Seems like Alek has finished/nearly finished some new tracks, so maybe we’ll hear more about it soon? It’s a tune, for sure π
And Jiipez, I thought I spotted Janne too, but it was actually Toni Carbon Based π

I know, how people can just sit/lie there is beyond me…
