16 comments on “Top 3 tracks of 2010

  1. 1. Betwixt & Between – Hydra(long edit)

    2. Betwixt & Between – Transparent

    3. Lix – Floating Aqualine

Artist of the year: Betwixt & Between !

Biggest disappointment: Alek Szรกhala – Ascend to the Stars

I’m aware I put hydra’s long edit there, but, technically, Nanosecond Eternity was already available on the 30th. D:
Nevertheless, I’m only considering Hydra (long edit)since Hydra was already one of my top tracks this year.

Astraia and Hellion were very close from entering.

  2. Sorry, but my top 1 tune of the year is trance :/

    1. Adam Nickey Pres. Blue8 – Eleventh Street (Suncatcher Remix)
(Check out the video. And maybe you understand why this is the top tune of the year :D) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDe8arlnaJ0

    2. Betwixt & Between – Point of No Return
also the best track name of the year goes to this one!

    3. Ephexis & Solution – Requiem
This was really killer on the spring 2010.

Year 2010 was good for me. I had couple of awesome gigs. And I heard many good tracks during the year. Also I’ve improved a lot in producing music!
And on December 2010 we started to produce trance with Sam One. If you’re interested, visit our soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/solar-emotion

At the moment there is quite little to listen. But we have couple good projects going on. So there is more to come ๐Ÿ™‚

And big thanks to TYFTH for the past year! It has been really satisfying to read your posts Plasmadancer!

  3. My top 3 from last year were….

    1. Dynamo Cookie – Peaks & Pinnacle (Douglas Remix)

    2. Aurora – Aryx

    3. Terminator – Unknown

My first post ever on tyfth!! It will not be my last he he happy new year guys

Plasma Dancer – long time no speak mate hope your well!!

  4. I don’t have a top three for 2010. I tried to figure out what tunes I have been listening to the most and the top of that list is probably held by Voices of Babylon, and I’m pretty sure that ended up being my top one last year. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ophidian must be one of the most talented producers of hardcore music out there. And with the releases like Lost In The Forest and Abandon this year, this has become even more clear to me.

The latest label I discovered is Ninja Columbo ran by The Teknoist. More specificly the free releases carrying the sublabel ZoMbFREE. With songs ranging from dubstepish (“To generalise his projects as just Dubstep would be ridiculous” -ZoMbFREE) tunes like The Septic Insurgen – Omniscient to heavy industrial breakcore stuff like Gekko – Cut You Down .

    Lost In The Forest:

    Abandon:

    Omniscient: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxsxPhv1vMY

    Cut You Down:

I just realized that this turned out to be something of a top three in the end. So I guess it should look something like this. In no particular order:

Alek Szahala – Voices of Babylon (With the risk of sounding boring.)

    Ophidian

    ZoMbFREE

  5. I almost forgot. I have to thank you Plasmadancer for 2010 as well. Concidering how quiet this year has been for the freeform scene you have helped me keeping my interest in the scene up this past year.

Now don’t get me wrong, we have seen many good tunes come out in 2010 but it is still but a shadow of 2009 IMO. It will be interesting to see what 2011 will bring. I have hopes for a good year!

  6. Thanks for the lists and the kind words so far, guys!

    BerN
Very good call on the Betwixt tunes. I think I’ve heard Aqualine before – a very nice tune, it always makes me think of Out Run…Magical Sound Shower, that sort of thing…

    J-Mx
That is a nice trance tune…but your new stuff with Sam One is sounding very promising too (some lovely stuff in Timeless Land). Hope you keep at the freeform in 2011 ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Alderz
Great to see you on here, hope you’re doing well ๐Ÿ™‚
Let us know when you’ve got another mix ready!

    Chip
That’s weird, maybe try posting again? When I approved the last comment that’s all there was…

    Nisse
Some awesome choices there – I completely agree about Ophidian, and of course I’ve heard Lost In The Forest before. Ninja Columbo is new to me, though…I’ll be checking them out a little more, thanks!

Re. Voices of Babylon, it was definitely my most played tune, too…I’d go as far as to say it’s my all-time favourite freeform track, and for the time being it’ll be unofficially top of any list I put together ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Im currently sorting out some new tracks and hope to have a new mix done soonish… I say soonish cause recording a mix with a 19 month old baby girl is tough lol

  8. So, so weird, Plasma! I have been having some deep nostalgia lately due to Outrun, and now you go and mention it. D:
Having said that, I do prefer the Splash Wave track.

Also, what happened to Chip has happened a lot of times with me, too. Posts get cut if you use the inequality characters (for smileys or even the heart symbol). It must have smth to do with html. ?_?

  9. The basic jist of it was, in no particular order:

Fleshfest – RX, Proteus & Carbon Based
My Serenity – DJ Rx ft. Jolea
    Leadbeater – Alchemiist & J-MX

  10. hmmmmm, tough one this.

im usually too indicisive to pick just a top 3 lol

must say though these three rocked it last year for me especially.

1.ANDROID LIME – ROBOT NOIZE (DJX REMIX)
    2.LOST SOUL – BEYOND SALVATION
    3.SUBSTANCED – APOCALYPSE (2010 EDIT)

hope everyone is doin’ good ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Android Lime – Robot Noize DJ-X Remix is the shizzle. Its my second favorite A.L. tune to date. Tried jacking the BPM upto 180 on it? ๐Ÿ˜›

I did on my promo mix Untitled, Unmastered, Unfinished.

Jacked a load of hard dance tunes upto 180, they sound sick tbh.
