Here’s another trip into the past, for a quick look at another great duo who were on the fringes of the Finnish scene back in the day. Around 2005 or so, some lovely tunes were appearing on Chaos Crew DJs’ Mikseri page, most notably Broken Dreams, Brake Out and the demented Xan-lunarian. Finnish military service interrupted the guys’ production, and sadly the master files to these tunes have lone gone, leaving only the 160kbps versions…

There was talk a year or so back of them starting up again, but in the meantime have a listen to any of these that you missed the first time around. Plenty of chunky filtered sawtooths and catchy melodies here – one of my big favourites is Slave, but the sound quality doesn’t match up to other stuff at this sort of bitrate and it’s one to listen to at home…I did sneak Brake Out into a recent ustream set, though.
