I’m very happy to announce that the next addition to the TYFTH track collection is from none other than Qygen! Past dithering over the upgrade of the account meant that talk of a submission couldn’t come to anything, but in the meantime Qygen has racked up an impressive number of releases on physical and digital labels, making him one of the most exciting new artists of recent years.
His contribution to TYFTH is Across the Ancient Universe, a simply superb ten-minute journey of a tune that I immediately fell in love with. Opening with his trademark goacore riffs, the track ends up heading into a wonderful, melancholy breakdown, some freeform-style melodies and a brutal, uplifting finale. Huge thanks to Qygen for a pretty special track – I hope everyone enjoys this one.
Wicked stuff!
Cheers Eric!
Stay tuned for (hopefully) some more exciting Qygen news next month 🙂
Listening to this tune for the first time this very moment. Exciting stuff so far! At the break right now and can’t wait to hear this beast go off! 🙂
Such a brutal piece of art!
Masterfully done Qygen.
Mhhh, very awesome stuff. Qygen created art. Started to love his tunes lately. *thumbs up*
I love this, he’s one of the few artists who makes melodies whereby I feel the need to rush to the studio to lay some ideas down. His music sounds super simple and yet so mind bogglingly complex at the same time. Almost mechanical and strict, yet free and random. And an ability I’ve only encountered in artists like Aryx and Alek where notes sound like they float in the air like I could touch them.
I think Dave, you’ve hit the nail on the head there mate!
Wyrm
Can’t add anything to that – brilliantly put!
Labraska’s ‘Brutal piece of art’ is spot on too. You know a track is good when it’s provoking responses like this 🙂
It’s simply awesome!
