Thanks to the time difference I wasn’t able to catch much of the Halloween Weekender, but thankfully J-Mx’s super-melodic J-Core set was recorded. Once again, he’s done a fine job of showing off the other side of Japanese freeform, and somehow managed to get tunes like Aryx’s Aurora into the mix, too. The final few tunes (t+Pazolite’s excellent Bonds of NRG excepted) are a bit too heavy on the slightly weird synths/over enthusiastic melodies for my taste, but otherwise this is very welcome break from the darker stuff I always seem to listen to these days. Hopefully there’ll be a few more Weekender sets to come…

Hey, brilliant set! Sounded really fresh for me – lots of stuff I normally don’t listen to. Definitely has a different mood/atmosphere of what I’ve been hearing and I needed something like this. I guess I should start looking a bit more seriously to J-core. :3
also, Tsukasa’s Accelarator sounded oddly familiar. D;
But anyway, it was a great hour of music!
Gosh! I thought that I put this set only to facebook so everybody who wants it will get it. I didn’t foresee it would spread so widely 😀 But that’s no problem to me!

I’m not really satisfied with this mix, because the track changes are quite questionable and few gallops also there among the other mistakes 😀 But to cover my ass I can say that mixing that kind of tracks together is not easy :DD
Oh, and another pretext is the king alcohol :DD
i enjoyed this as soon as i heard Aurora and 237.15. though, i missed the majority of the halloween weekender, too. ironically this set was one of the few that i was around for .. i really hope the others get uploaded!
BTW, that first track has the wrong artist listed .. the original is by korsk(StripE), not dj shimamura
