Dyzphazia (aka TYFTH’s Chip) played this set recently, and after checking it out I thought it was well worth sharing with everyone. All the DJs at the event had a 30 minute time slot, and as the event was more hard dance than hardcore Dyzphazia went for a hard trance/slowed down freeform set. I think it works very well, and Fleshfest is a great way to finish – it might not have the power to end a full-on freeform set, but here it’s a perfect step up from the more trancey sounds. The mixing’s also very good, so well done to Chip for this one – after chatting last night during my online set it seems like there’s more to come, too.
- Grimsoul – UG
- Sam One – Royal Flush
- Substanced – Apocalypse 2010
- Altitude – Altitude (Substanced bootleg)
- Rank One – Airwave (Betwixt & Between remix)
- DJ Rx, Carbon Based, Proteus – Fleshfest
I have just got to listen to this!
Following up my overly excited earlier comment. 🙂
Listening to this mix for the 6th or so time while I’m writing this. My favourite part is Royal Flush through to Altitude.
That Substanced bootleg is a beautiful track! And that smooth kick is rather soothing hehe. Easy to dream away when listening.
The mixing is great and the whole set feels very summerish.
Wicked work!
Just made my way into Airwave and I must say it sounds great at this speed too!
Cheers man, I’ve been ‘BPM Watched’ at this event and constricted to only playing Hard Dance speed (150-155). So i thought ‘Hey! Why not just play trancy freeform at 150’, and Bob’s your uncle. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed it man…
I totally agree with you about Altitude, its a beautiful tune, gorgeous melody. The only thing im not keen on is if you listen out for it, the delay on the piano line when it first comes in seems a little ‘far’ at this speed…
