Better late than never, eh? Soham has just upped a few videos from last month’s NRGetic Romancer, including this great one of Guld playing Hatral. As you can see, he hardly ever leaves the mixer alone, throwing in effects here and there…it’s definitely his mixing trademark.

It’s taken a while to round up some photos/video of the last event (Cogi didn’t have his recorder or camera), but we’re all set now. Big thanks for the photos go to Shinosan, Eirik and Detch, and to Eirik again for the videos.

The crowd was smaller than we were hoping (especially as it was another free event), but Friday is difficult for a lot of ravers – the timing was pretty tight for me too. Despite all that, it turned out to be a great Romancer with a really nice atmosphere, and pretty high-bpm from start to finish.

The flyer is now finished for next month’s Muon event, thanks to Hosopyi. Unfortunately a couple of typos slipped through (seems like I’ll be playing under my other DJ name, ‘PlasmsDancer’), but it’s looking very tidy other than that. At last night’s Transa I was asking around a few of the regulars, and it seems like quite a few will be coming, someone also mentioned that Studio FORUM is a pretty big venue.

Talking of Transa, it was a good event – DX Pasta and AEMI both played nice sets, but KA-NA’s hour was worth the price of entry on its own. I’ve said it before, but her taste in tunes is exactly the same as mine, and although she couldn’t fit in Mirage as she was thinking beforehand, the set was mostly Grimsoul tracks combined with Alek Szahala, my Hell’s Gate remix and some inspired Kreatrix tunes. This year she’s become my favourite DJ, selection-wise, at least…shame she doesn’t play that many events.

A nice clip has just appeared from yesterday’s Tano*C – this one seems to be another ‘Butabaster’ b2b featuring Betwixt and Alabaster, with Ruins of Jade mixing into Hesotarou Tankobu. Looks like it was a nice set, and I think TYFTH’s Eirik is somewhere in the crowd too.

Operation Karma’s DJ AT has just put together a very nice promo movie of some of the Hard Dance Raver crew (including AT himself) in action, with a lot taken at NRGetic Romancer. The backing track is of course Alek Szahala’s Sunray.

There’ll be a proper post on what happened at NRGetic Romancer before too long, but a few videos were taken of the regulars doing their thing, and I couldn’t pass these up in the meantime.

First we have Detch doing some glowswording with the light sabre-things that usually come out near the end of each Romancer. He’d never used them before, but somebody passed both to him and he improvised this (!) while Android Lime’s remix of Hannya X plays in the background. His glowsticking seems to have gone up a few more levels on the amazing scale too, but no videos of that yet.

Thanks to DJ Aemi I’m playing at another event next month – Muon (Dream Sound) in Roppongi. Muon began as a mainstream event, playing house, trance etc, but next year will see ‘version 2’ kick in with harder genres all the way. There will be a ‘sub-floor’ with the old style event happening there, which might be a good way to get a few more folk in (even if they don’t know what on earth’s going on when they get to the main floor).

I’m proud to be on the lineup for this first event, and looking forward to it a lot – Aemi and the other organisers have said that high bpms aren’t a problem, so I’ll be going all-out with 170bpm+ Japanese/Finnish style. After J-Mx’s Itachi the other day, it’s great to see that DJ 490 will be playing too, very much looking forward to his set. It should be a really interesting mix of genres, here’s the info from the flyer:
